Welcome to the website of the Nanjing No.1 Toastmasters Club.  Toastmasters is a member-driven, non-profit organization with nearly 250,000 members in more than 12,500 clubs in 106 countries, offering a proven – and enjoyable! – way to practice and hone communication and leadership skills. Jenny, our fantastic and passionate member,has completed her 10th speech on August 10th. She is the second competent communicator in Nanjing No.1 Toastmasters Club.
From nervous icebreaker to smooth final show,we believe everyone has seen her great improvement on this journey.
Though she is not an officer, she inspired all of us more than an officer by doing great speeches and showing up at high attendance rate. She always shows her talent by using great ideas when planning the speech topics for different speech projects! We are so lucky to have her as one of our best members!!!
As her 10th speech subject “say goodbye to old you” indicates,she’s flying to US for the great new ventures there.We are looking forward to hear from her that she achieves her Advanced Communicator Bronze soon.

Nanjing No.1 Toastmasters Club has been established in 2009 and now has more than 30 active members meeting weekly. Toastmasters is especially useful for young professionals wishing  to improve their speaking and presentation capabilities, but we have members from a variety of backgrounds and everybody is welcome to join.

Pascal has become our first member to finish all 10 speeches from the Toastmaster’s competent communicator manual, and earn the title “Competent Communicator”, Congratulations Pascal!

2010 – Building a Club That Lasts

Dear Members,

It has been exciting year since Wenbin, William, Tina, Erik and I started talking about starting this club. We owe them all a huge thank you for their efforts.

We have had a wonderful year, we:
1) Chartered our club with over 20 members
2) Pascal became our first member to complete his CC
3) Tina is an AWESOME EVP
4) Rex won several speech contests

What will you do in the next year?

To sustain our club our theme for 2010 is Sustainability.
To achieve this we need to develop leaders to
a) help grow Toastmasters in Nanjing
b) run the club so existing members can focus on their goals
c) Compete to higher levels within Toastmasters

We appreciate your participation. Think about your future and join as an officer so we can do more for you and the club in 2010.
